I shook hands with Mike many years ago at a Magic Johnson Mid-Summer all-star game at the Forum and couldn't believe how thick he was. Reminded me of a silverback. Simply incredible how someone that size can have that type of hand-speed. And his footwork and waist movement weren't bad either. We've never seen before or will ever see again this type of heavyweight. In his prime he was like Eliot Ness - Untouchable!

I had Larry up by 3 points in Spinks 2; I had Larry down 1 in fight 1. It was heart breaking to see a 35 year old guy fight his heart out only to come up short. But Holmes kept on fighting unlike Hagler who sniveled and moaned, then walked away from boxing. Poor Marvin remains obsessed over the Leonard loss to this day. Holmes was smart; he invested his money, stayed true to his wife and family and remained a part of the sport he loves with all its flaws and injustices. What a CLASS ACT!

We'll never know, and that 1988 farce should never have happened. Actually, Holmes surely would have had a better showing had he taken a few tune-up fights and waited. I recall him against Mercer, McCall and Hollyfield actually creating drama. Nobody expected him to beat Mercer, and he made it look easy. Holmes was on my mind today. He's one of the few who still had his marriage, money and mind. That's a class act, and he has something today few former champs retained. I know of no others.

ah everyones an expert ay? Here is the most reliable training principle "progressive overload" more reps or more weight without sacrificing "good form" not overly strict form. You can implement this style of training on any exercise and it will work as for sets and reps find out what works best for you 5-7 reps is good allowing you to focus intensely for a short all out burst rather than marathon sets and reps as for sets 1 is all you need to use progressive overload principle 2 at the most IMO

Because they are concerned about injury. When you lock out or clang the weights together at the top of each movement like most of the no-progress morons you see at the gym, you are taxing your joints. When doing 8-12 reps each set with heavyweight, it adds up. Not to mention it isn't neccessary to lock out.

You know, enough with the form bullshit. There are many ways to train. Just because you just got your personal trainer's license doesn't mean you know all there is to know. He's completing a fucking circuit for his arms, and given the weight and amount of reps, a little body english isn't a bad thing. strict form is not always the way to go. Ballistic motions work the muscle differently and can put on muscle by working the the muscle fibers more responsible for explosive strength. Strict form is good in its own respect, but ballistic motions have their place in the gym as well, regardless of what muscle you are training

If you are finding pain in your neck when doing these exercises it is because you are leading the abdominal movement with your neck instead of focusing on your abs. By leading with your neck you are putting momentum into the workout, which is something that you don't want to do. Instead keep your head looking towards the ceiling to make sure that you aren't pulling your body up with your neck. Also by doing it slowly it will target your abs more effectively because your abs will do all the work.

@bubblt I would recommend running about three or four times a week. Running every day can actually damage your legs. As for how long you should run, working up to what feels comfortable to you is the best way to go about it I've seen. I'm a sprinter, and I run about four miles in roughly thirty minutes (taking breaks to walk maybe two or three times). Definitely work up to this though, and don't push yourself. Building up running endurance is a gradual process.

My previous comment wasn´t trying to deny ken as a good driver but to reply some blind fanatics here saying ken blocks were capable to kick loeb´s ass. In my opinion he sure will get some new skills, and of course he will improve his performance, but I don´t think he ever gonna win a wrc event. He is so far from top drivers. We're not all like that. Many cyclist prefer the routes less travelled by vehicular traffic. I disagree with cyclists riding side by side as it poses a problem for traffic trying to overtake. Awful about the elderly man that was killed, I hope prison sentences were handed out to the culprits. In the UK many of these alleged cycle paths are unusable as all the grit from the road sits on the cycle path and makes for a very uncomfortable ride.

well guys the general difference between kung fu ( bagua included) and kickboxing wrestiling style martial arts is this. the 2nd one is very intuative easy to learn and perform for defense or sparring.but kunf fu is very counterintuative, very difficult to learn and perform(years to learn) even by experienced teachers which are very rare. but its effects once u master it are so much more potent than regular streetfighting cause of the training ways.thats what u trade.effectiveness for fast learn

this would be perfect for a fight, bagua is the ultimate martial art if you dont want to seriously hurt your opponent, or get hurt yourself, the few strikes bagua does have( that are unique to bagua) are used to disable your opponent with little harm. very good for dodging, or leading people into walls, boxes, chairs, etc.

i know'n a awsome type of training xD invented it at school. my friends love to lift me upp and stuff and we do much crap at scool so once my friend to hold me upp after the feet (so i did hang upside down) and i did start to take "Sit ups" xD it gets really hard after a while xD but it is funny. he train he's arms with holding me after my feets(im 45kg, i am little) and i get the six pack.
