I disagree, when the 5cyl is turbocharged they blow head gasket too early. I've seen so many 850 turbos for sale with blown head gaskets and under 200k miles. That's poo for being a Volvo. Without the turbo, you can't kill the 5cyl. They go forever.

To me , $89/hr labor IS high. I pay $50-60/hr through independent mechanics, but I live out in the country where mechanics are honest and fair and you get to know them. If you think $89/hr labor is high, Chrysler charges the same. Jaguar charges $350/hr labor! Insane, eh?

Oh my, I saw your videos, it's horrible. The point is that american car manifacturers still work like explained in the movie "fight club". If lawsuits for deaths due to failure are cheaper than fixing a problem, they'll leave it. Ford is trying very hard pressing their lower quality standards onto Volvo, but hopefully will never ruin Volvo's mentality towards safety.

Yes, I remember when they first came out with the XC90. It had a standard turbo 5cyl. (from the 850) or optional 6cyl. (from the 960). I never drove an XC90, but figured they had to be dog slow with either motor. Nice they dropped in a V8 later. Too bad though that it's a Yamaha engine and not Volvo. :-(

Its a very nice and SAFE car... The only problem I have with it is the early models have horrible acceleration due to their in line 5 cylinder engines. Unless you have the V8 they are now using in line 6 cylinder engines i believe. A much needed improvement

When someone crashes everyone blames the course, what about the bobsleigh team their mostly the ones makeing the costly mistakes. Track records, gold medalists, anyone who finished their run will tell you a different story. Maybe for me it's a personal preference in what I look for in a good drummer - I'd rather have a drummer that can keep the same tempo throughout a song much more than I'd want a drummer that can play cool fills and whatnot. WIth that said, I've seen live videos of them since Shaka Rock came out, he is much improved. But their first five years of live shows were pretty rough on the drums because of the tempo changes throughout songs.

Yeah I understand they probably didn't aim the song at Taking Care of Business...The song clearly has some Rolling Stones influences too, but the guitar in the guitar solo of Rollover DJ and the intro of Taking Care of Business is painfully similar. Yes, I've seen them live...I won't argue that I didn't have fun and they didn't put on a good show...But there are MANY better drummers than Chris...He speeds up and slows down too much - Listen to the tempo difference between verse and the intros.

No, it's not just Lust For Life. There's no fresh contribution to anything that made them popular. And as a matter of fact, yes, I'm highly critical of Led Zeppelin for the odd times when they got sly about knicking other peoples tunes. hi mate, i just got a foosball table and there is no control whatsoever, are these rubber balls? MY foosball table came with plastic balls and are damn hard to grip and slide right out of the players feet, i cant even pass the ball without the ball veering offtrack , where can i get the balls u use? i tried ebay but nothing good, same old cheap chinese stuff

The weight of the rods can make a difference. Some people shoot this shot on a bonzini table which has telescopic rods, but I dont think it has the same flexibility as on a tornado table. The ball can affect the effectiveness of this shot as well.

Question: I have a FABI and i'm just learning the snake. I can pull it off every so often but I was wondering if its easier on the Tornado. Also, when I do pull it off its usually the push side, I have trouble with the pull side. Yea, im aware of the difference between those two shots. But normally when i do the snake shot / rollover, i don't use my wrist, simply because it's almost impossible for me to control it propperly, and on most tables i play at, the rods aren't smooth enough for me to have enough power using the wrist only. Instead tho, i use a different grib (don't know whether it has a name or not). but the question was actually why using the wrist instead of any other grib when rolling over?

A front pin shot done with the wrist is called the snake shot or rollover. You use the wrist for speed and ability to go to either side. You can do a standard front pin shot with an open hand grip (also called the Euro pin) but it's a lot more difficult to do on the Tornado table.

At seroyer2 ....it's not "air got stuffed under the car" ....what happens is the car, going sideways, has a profile much like an aeroplane wing - with a flat underside and heavily curved top surface - the pressure difference causes it to take off. When travelling normally, the diffuser shape at the rear (and some rake) accelerates the air underneath and causes the pressure difference to be greater on the top surface, that difference is reversed when the car is going sideways.
